Today was our May Membership lesson and we made dishes using “Shio koji” and “Shoyu koji” which are fermented condiments. We like to call these “magical condiments” since it makes all of the dishes taste good, tenderize meat and fish, and with lots of probiotics, it’s very good for you! Everyone got to take back a small container of Shio Koji that they made today and they seemed very happy 🤗 Today we had new trial guests and they hit it off with our members right away and we had a really great team! Everyone was impressed at how easy and tasty everything was, and we even had dessert using Shio Koji. We always have such a great time at our membership lessons, we always look forward to next month the moment our lesson ends. Hope they will enjoy the
Dear our wonderful members and guests,It is with deep sadness to announce that we have decided to close JJ Kitchen for the time being.During the past 5 years, we have enjoyed cooking and discussing cultural issues with each and everyone. However, Junko had a stroke in June and is currently in the hospital undergoing physiotherapy. Since we do not know how long this will take, we have come to the conclusion to close our doors. For those of you that still have our vouchers, we will be contacting you separately.For JJ Kitchen members, we will contact you regarding future lessons.We thank you all for the love and support you have shown JJ Kitchen, and we hope that we can cook together again.
