Today’s lesson was a lesson from our Spring Course, Bamboo shoot & wild mountain veggies.
We had 3 cute guests come in, and our good friend Mari also joined us.
We made 3 dishes using bamboo shoots, and for the wild mountain veggies, we made tempura which we think is the best way to eat them. Each of the wild mountain veggies has its own unique taste and bitterness and everyone enjoyed the taste of spring😋 Everyone also loved how simple and tasty the kinome-yaki was, where we stir-fried the bamboo shoots in soy sauce and butter, topped with Japanese pepper buds. Everyone spoke a bit of Japanese as well, so had interesting conversations on how much Japanese anime is known worldwide, on various Vietnamese and Filipino dishes and other topics, mixing English and Japanese.
We hope everyone enjoyed the lesson and the food!

Thank you all for coming 😊
