Hot Japanese Dishes to Warm You Up

January 30, 2022 / by Junko

We had our January membership lesson today!

This month, we made healthy dishes that warm our bodies. Not a lot of work is necessary for these dishes, yet they are very tasty! One of our members mentioned that her “chawan-mushi (savory steamed egg custard) ” never turned out right, so she was very happy to learn a few tips today.
The hotpot was also a huge success and everyone enjoyed the rice porridge we made with the broth.

Looking forward to our February lesson!

There are so many Japanese dishes and cultures that are not well known outside of Japan and I’m happy to introduce them to you! If you tested any of our recipes feel free to send us a photo and your comments and we will be happy to publish them, even if it wasn't a complete success! :)
