Stir Fried Bitter Gourd and Chicken

Have you ever had “goya (bitter gourd),” a Japanese summer vegetable?
It looks like Godzilla! Many people do not appreciate the bitterness, but it is nutritious and is very good for you.
Shihomi will show you how to make 2 simple dishes that taste great even for those who are not fond of its bitterness.


[Stir fried bitter gourd and chicken]
3/4 bitter gourd
1/2 tsp salt
1 chicken thigh
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp mirin
1 tbsp sake
1/2 tbsp beet sugar
100g grated cheese
1 tbsp sesame oil
1/2 piece garlic
1 red chili pepper
thread pepper (for decoration)

[bitter gourd with ume salad]
1/4 bitter gourd
1/3 tsp salt
1 piece umeboshi (salted plum pickles)
1 tsp soy sauce
1 pack (5g) bonito flakes
white roasted sesame

今回は栄養たっぷりでとっても体にいい夏野菜のゴーヤを使った料理です。
苦味が嫌いな人も多い野菜ですが、しほみんにゴーヤを丸ごと1本使って、苦手な方でも美味しくいただける簡単料理を2品作ってもらいました。
