Frugal Cheese Fondue using Mochi

We will be continuing to use leftover mochi in this episode. This may be an unexpected twist, but Kei will be using mochi in her cheese fondue! Adding mochi is a way you can keep the volume but use less cheese, so it’s economical (especially since cheese is expensive in Japan!) The mochi adds extra stretch to the cheese, and does not make the cheese taste like mochi.
I got hooked when I made the trial version and made it for myself again the next day. I’m sure you’ll be wanting to make it over and over again!

[ Ingredients ]
(cheese fondue)
1 piece rice cake
1/2 piece garlic
100g grated cheese
50ml white wine
200 – 250ml milk

(fondue dippers)
1/4 baguette
4 sausage
4 cherry tomatoes
broccoli
