Japanese Food / Fish & Seafood Grilled Sardines with Ume & Cheese June 26, 2020 / by Junko （日本語の文章は英文の下にあります） This time, fishing lover Shihomi is cooking with her specialty ingredient, fish! She made rolled sardines with “ume (Japanese plum)” and cheese. The sourness from the “umeboshi” and the richness from the cheese really goes well with the sardines! The sardines are very tender, so they can easily be filleted using your hands! 2 sardine 2 umeboshi (salted plum) 1/2 tbsp mirin 1 sheet sliced cheese 1 tbsp sake 1 tbsp oil for frying 2 shiso leaves white sesame 4 toothpicks 2 sardine 1/2 tbsp potato starch 1 tbsp oil for frying white sesame 2 shiso leaves (Sauce) 1/2 tbsp sake 1/2 tbsp mirin 1 tsp sugar 1 tbsp soy sauce 1/2 tbsp grated ginger ——————– イワシの梅チーズ巻き焼きとイワシの生姜焼き 今回は釣り好きのしほみんの得意な魚料理！ Junko There are so many Japanese dishes and cultures that are not well known outside of Japan and I’m happy to introduce them to you!
