Fish & Seafood Italian Salt Cod Cooked in Tomato Sauce December 18, 2020 / by Junko (日本語の文章は英文の下にあります) Christmas is just around the corner♪🎄✨ We had Shihomi make a dish that is made on Chrismas Eve in Italy 🇮🇹 In Japan, many of us eat chicken or other kinds of meat for Christmas, but in Italy, it seems that many eat fish and not meat due to religious reasons. In Italy, this dish is made with “Baccala” which is cod salted and dried for preservation but here, we used fresh salted cod that is readily available in Japan. [ Ingredients ] 350g salted cod 1 potato 10 black olive 10 grains 1/4 red paprika 70g mushroom 1/2 onion 1 garlic piece 200ml canned whole tomatoes 100ml water 1 tsp paprika powder Italian parsley (for decoration) 1/2 tbsp olive oil 1/2 tsp salt black pepper ——————– イタリアのクリスマスイブ料理塩鱈のトマト煮 もうすぐクリスマス♪🎄✨ しほみんにイタリアのクリスマスイブ料理を作ってもらいました。 クリスマスといえば日本では、チキンなどお肉を食べるイメージが強いですが、イタリアでは宗教上の理由でお肉でなく、クリスマスイブにはお魚を食べる方が多いらしいです。 本場では鱈を長期保存できるように塩漬けにした「バッカラ」が使われるのですが、今回は日本で手に入りやすい塩鱈を使って料理します! ※日本語のレシピはYoutubeの概要欄でご確認ください。 Junko There are so many Japanese dishes and cultures that are not well known outside of Japan and I’m happy to introduce them to you!
