Chicken Meatballs with Shiso

June 19, 2020 / by Junko

Shihomi made Japanese meatballs using a chicken breast.
This recipe also uses a lot of our favorite “shiso”!
This time, we chopped up the chicken to make hand-minced meat, so the meatballs are tender and juicy, and you can feel the meatiness. We recommend you to try this!

1 chicken breast (or 300g minced chicken)
10 shiso leaves
1 tbsp potato starch
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp Japanese sake
one pinch salt
1/2 tsp sesame oil (for frying)
1/2 piece lemon (as garnish)

– seasoning
1/2 tsp chicken soup stock
1 tbsp Japanese sake
1 piece garlic

There are so many Japanese dishes and cultures that are not well known outside of Japan and I’m happy to introduce them to you! If you tested any of our recipes feel free to send us a photo and your comments and we will be happy to publish them, even if it wasn't a complete success! :)
