Kids Cooking Class – Shumai

Today we had a lesson with four cute girls! It seemed they enjoyed the pizza lesson they had at our kitchen before, and they were excited to come again!
We made 60 shumai dumplings (!) and Chinese egg soup today, and they did everything all on their own. We taught them how to wrap the shumai in an easy way and also how to steam them in a frying pan if they didn’t have a steamer at home.
We think they were very satisfied with the results since about 50 of the dumplings vanished into their stomachs in no time (and they also had a bowl of rice to go with their meal!)
It’s fun being able to watch them grow and to see how their kitchen skills are improving!

We hope to see them again!!



















今日は4人の小学生とシュウマイとふわとろの中華たまごスープを作りました!
お子さまでも上手に作れるシュウマイの簡単な包み方と、蒸し器を持っていなくてもできる、フライパンでシュウマイを蒸す方法をご紹介したところ、お母さんたちにも大好評でした😊
みんな自分の作ったシュウマイに大満足した様子。60個も作ったシュウマイをほぼ平らげました。子供の食欲はすごい!
教えあったり、不公平にならないように自ら作業を分担したり、お料理を通じて子供たちが成長する姿を見れて嬉しく思います。
次は何を作りにきてくれるかな?
