Braised Pork

In this episode, we will be making “Buta no Kakuni” (braised pork) using pork and pears. Beer will also be used when cooking the meat!
The enzymes from the fruit, the alcohol and carbonic acid from the beer all tenderize the meat.

500g pork belly block
3 tbsp potato starch
350ml beer
1 pear
150ml soy sauce
1 piece ginger
1 tsp red chili pepper (sliced)
6cm green onion
thread chili pepper (for decoration)
pink pepper (for decoration)
Italian parsley (for decoration)
