Enjoy nutritious summer vegetables & dishes that increase your stamina!

After the rainy season comes summer!
In order to spend the summertime full of energy, eating nutritious and balanced meals is important.
Our membership lesson for July & August will use lots of nutritious summer vegetables.

Shabu-shabu is a very popular hotpot dish, but for summer, we will be cooking the pork shabu-shabu cold (we call it Rei-shabu) and eat it with a refreshing “ponzu (soy sauce and citrus) sauce with the scent of yuzu.
We will also explain how to make homemade ponzu.

Deep fried summer vegetables in Japanese broth is a simple dish where we deep fry the vegetables without batter and then soaked in flavorful dashi, but the vegetables full of broth are so tasty, they will surprise you!
This way of cooking vegetables has been loved by the Japanese for a long time. We will also teach you a cutting technique on how to make “Kakushibocho (hidden cuts)”.

We will also enjoy 2 more refreshing dishes; tomato salad and pickled plum and ginger rice.
