The class will be held when the minimum number of participants has been achieved. You can join from mid-course when there are open seats. Reservations are mandatory. Please contact us if you are interested in the class.
We would welcome you contacting us before booking to check on the suitability of ingredients used in the menu if you have any dietary requirements. Otherwise, please inform us of any dietary requests on booking. If we do not get prior notice we cannot amend arrangements.
This year, it seems that the cherry blossoms in Tokyo will bloom a bit earlier than usual, on March 23th! Cherry blossoms are one of the national flowers of Japan, and the Japanese love this season. We go to parks and sit under the cherry blossom to enjoy picnics. When the cherry blossoms bloom, it doesn’t take much time before they start to fall, so many people try to go out and admire them with their friends, families and colleagues as many times as they can during this short period.
In our March lesson, we will be making a bento box that we would like you to bring to these outings. We will be making 3 types of cute “onigiri (rice balls)” and 3 kinds of easy and tasty side dishes using seasonal ingredients. We are sure that you will be very popular if you bring a homemade bento box to your Hanami!
Unfortunately due to COVID, we haven’t been able to enjoy Hanami, something that the Japanese look forward to very much, during these past 2 years, but let’s pray that we will be able to enjoy seeing the cherry blossoms with everyone!
今年の桜の開花は、東京は例年より少し早く3/22と予想が出ました! 国家でもある桜を日本人はこよなく愛しており、 桜の季節は公園などに行き、桜の木下にシート引いて桜を見ながらピクニックを楽しみます。 桜は満開になったらあっという間に散ってしまうので、 友だと、家族と、同僚と、桜が咲いている短い期間にめいいっぱい愛でます。
3月のレッスンは、そんなお花見にぜひ持っていきたいお弁当を作ります。 かわいい3種類のおにぎりと簡単でおいしい副菜3種類。 デザートには桜餅も作ります。 お花見に手作りのお弁当を持って行ったらモテること間違いなしですよ!
コロナの影響でこの2年、日本人が何よりも楽しみにしているお花見はおあずけとなっていますが、 今年はみんなで楽しめることを祈りましょう!

If you are unable to attend a lesson due to a conflict, you can take a different lesson to make up for it.
