Teriyaki chicken may be one of the most eaten Japanese dishes in the world, but over in Japan, we often use teriyaki sauce with fish.
We enjoyed eating a variety of fish with teriyaki sauce, and yellowtail is one of the most common teriyaki fish we eat at home. Salmon, swordfish & sablefish are popular too.
In this class, you will learn an authentic quick and tasty recipe for Teriyaki fish. Once you learn Japanese homemade teriyaki sauce, you’ll never buy a bottle of sauce from a shop. The authentic teriyaki sauce is made of 4 simple ingredients: soy sauce, sake, mirin, and sugar. No need to marinate, no oven cooking.
You will also learn how to make dashi (fish and kelp stock) from scratch and make savory Japanese omelet and miso soup with it.
* A welcome drink and a glass of wine, beer or sake are included. Bringing in your own bottles is welcome!* Menus are subject to change based on the availability of items in the market.

Dear our wonderful members and guests,It is with deep sadness to announce that we have decided to close JJ Kitchen for the time being.During the past 5 years, we have enjoyed cooking and discussing cultural issues with each and everyone. However, Junko had a stroke in June and is currently in the hospital undergoing physiotherapy. Since we do not know how long this will take, we have come to the conclusion to close our doors. For those of you that still have our vouchers, we will be contacting you separately. For JJ Kitchen members, we will contact you regarding future lessons. We thank you all for the love and support you have shown JJ Kitchen, and we hope that we can cook together again.
