Karaage is a food that is lightly coated with flour and deep-fried. It can be fish or vegetable but when we say “Karaage”, most of us assume it’s deep-fried boneless chicken.
There are many types of good fried chicken around the world, but the freshly fried Japanese Karaage is crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and I think they are especially tasty!
The basic seasoning is soy sauce and mirin, but recently, there are Karaage that comes in different flavors. We will be making 2 kinds of Karaage, normal and yuzu flavored. We will introduce a traditional condiment called Shiokoji that will keep the chicken very tender too.
We will also teach you everything you need to know on how to fry them so that you get crispy, juicy chicken!

Hello Everyone,After 2 and a half years after Junko’s stroke, we will gradually be opening our doors to JJ Kitchen again.However, as Junko is still recovering, we will be changing our methods a bit.For the time being, we will only be accepting PRIVATE CLASSES (when we are available, and will not be holding our regular cooking classes, membership classes nor kids cooking classes (children can participate in the private lessons with the adults).Please contact us if you are interested in taking a private class from us.
