The class will be held when the minimum number of people signup. We may cancel the class if we don’t have enough people. In that case, we will refund the full amount.
We can make the dish without meat. Please note, we can replace/remove ingredients as long as we are given prior notice on your booking.
We would welcome you contacting us before booking to check on the suitability of ingredients used in the menu if you have any dietary requirements.Otherwise, please inform us of any dietary requests on booking. If we do not get prior notice we cannot amend arrangements.
Atsuage (厚揚げ), is deep-fried tofu. The outside will be crisp and golden and the inside will be still raw and white, like regular tofu with a fried skin. The texture is a little chewy like meat.
We like it grilled, simmered or fried with other ingredients. There are so many ways to enjoy it.
In this lesson, we will make stir-fried eggplant and atsuage with niku-miso (ground pork/chicken and miso) sauce.
This savory and a little spicy dish will whet your appetite! I can eat several bowls of rice with it.
