Fresh green ume plums are in season for a short time in this early summer (June). Don’t miss this chance and come learn how to infuse Japanese ume plums to make your own umeshu and ume cordial at JJ Kitchen!
In this workshop, we will work together making both umeshu and ume cordial. We also enjoy a delicious and healthy JJ Kitchen special lunch and taste homemade umeshu from past years after the workshop. *If you can not drink alcohol, you can make ume cordial instead of umeshu.
🤢Date : June 8 (Saturday) 11:00 – 14:00 🤢Fee : 5,000 yen Including ; *All ingredients for making 2L of umeshu & 1L of ume cordial *JJ Kitchen special lunch *Tasting homemade umeshu (1 year and 3 years old) or ume juice. 🤢Additional costs for jars (2L and 1L) : 2,000yen 🤢Max : 6 guests 🤢RSVP : Friday, May 31
Upon request, we will provide workshop participants with 2L (for umeshu) & 1L (for ume cordial) glass jars. We use ’cellarmate’ (sealed bottles made in Japan) for the storage jars. It has excellent sealing performance, durability and also nice as a room interior. If you have your own storage bottles, you can bring them. Please let us know if you would like to purchase the bottles when you signup for the workshop.
If you want to make 4L umeshu instead of 2L, it will cost an additional 1,600 yen for the jar and for the ingredients cost. Please note that the glass jar gets very heavy after it contains all the ingredients and are hard to carry.
