Learn to Japanese favorite combination!

In this class, we are making authentic fluffy Osaka style Okonomiyaki (お好み焼き) and juicy and crunchy Gyoza (餃子) that will be your next party favorite!

Osaka’s soul food, Okonomiyaki is a popular pan fried food that consists of flour-based batter and lots of cabbage, containing a variety of ingredients such as egg, pork or/and seafood. Enjoyed with flavorful okonomiyaki-sauce, mayonnaise and bonito flakes as toppings.
Gyoza, originated in China, are dumplings filled with ground pork and vegetables and wrapped in thin doughs. Here in Japan, most of gyoza are pan-fried.

You will learn how to make incredibly fluffy Okonomiyaki and juicy and crispy gyoza with fresh ingredients using gyoza skins (wrappers) which I think is widely available in local supermarkets around the world.
We will show you all the tips and techniques so that you can impress all of your family and friends back home!

* If you are interested in making wrappers from scratch, you may like to take this Gyoza intensive class.

* Basic Okonomiyaki and Gyoza contains pork meat but we can make chicken or vegetable version upon request.

Remarks

  • Just bring yourself! Aprons are available for free.
  • No need to clean up.
  • Children aged 6 and older are counted as separate participants. If you like to bring children under 6 years old to your class, we recommend you to book a private class. Thank you for your understanding.
  • Take-away is possible except for raw food, but management outside of the classroom is requested by yourself and we are not responsible for any trouble on hygiene. Please bring your own take-away container, ice cooler etc.
  • Price includes lesson, all ingredients, printed recipes and the listed number of drinks.
