Hanami Afternoon Tea Party

March 22, 2020 / by Junko

We had 7 lovely ladies come to our Hanami Afternoon Tea Party!!
Today, we prepared a lunch box with 9 different dishes using seasonal items (and focusing on the color pink), pizza, plus 4 desserts! Yes, we worked hard😁

Sakura Bento Box
🌸 Braised salmon carpaccio
🌸 “Sake kasu” butter w/ dried figs and walnuts
🌸 Fried chicken with red pickled ginger
🌸 Canola flower and firefly squid with vinegared miso with mustard
🌸 Roast pork w/ blueberry sauce
🌸 Marinated green onions with pickled lotus root
🌸 Beetroot hummus
🌸 “Shira-ae”, spinach dressed with tofu and white sesame
🌸 “Oshizushi (pressed sushi)” with canola flower and salted cherry blossoms

Luckily, the beautiful cherry blossoms in front of JJ Kitchen were almost in full bloom so we had a great view!

Everyone enjoyed the drinks, food and each other’s company, and some were very drunk at the end.😊

We all had a great time!! Thank you all for coming!
