Prepare for Christmas with delicious Japanese recipes!

Looking for Christmas recipes to make your holiday extra special?
In November, we will be using Japanese ingredients and recipes to create Christmas-like dishes with an unusual twist.
Bring a unique Japanese flair to your table!

We will be making 2 kinds of Karaage (Japanese-style fried chicken), normal and yuzu flavored, that will be stacked up to resemble a Christmas tree. Children and adults love Karaage so we’re sure this will be a popular dish at parties! We will use a traditional condiment called Shiokoji that will keep the chicken very tender.

Bonito (the source of bonito-flakes) is a migratory fish and starts heading south from September, and are called “returned bonito”. These bonitos are fatty and delicious, so we like to have them seared and with lots of condiments.

We will make side dishes using Japanese vegetables such as Shungiku (crown daisy) and burdock roots, and for dessert, our popular Eikorn’s special matcha tiramisu!
