This time, fishing lover Shihomi is cooking with her specialty ingredient, fish!
She made rolled sardines with “ume (Japanese plum)” and cheese.
The sourness from the “umeboshi” and the richness from the cheese really goes well with the sardines!
The sardines are very tender, so they can easily be filleted using your hands!

2 sardine
2 umeboshi (salted plum)
1/2 tbsp mirin
1 sheet sliced cheese
1 tbsp sake
1 tbsp oil for frying
2 shiso leaves
white sesame
4 toothpicks

2 sardine
1/2 tbsp potato starch
1 tbsp oil for frying
white sesame
2 shiso leaves
(Sauce)
1/2 tbsp sake
1/2 tbsp mirin
1 tsp sugar
1 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 tbsp grated ginger
